Designed to bring a deeper understanding of social issues, promote open conversation and positive organisational culture, TSEG workshops shine a light on social issues in an engaging, informative and palatable way.

Food Insecurity

Food insecurity is a rapidly growing issue in our community. Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experienced severe food insecurity in the last 12 months? Let us tell you more and explore ways you can help.

Food Waste
 

On average, every Australian wastes 312kgs of food every year, equating to approximately $2000 to $2,500 wasted per household. Let's explore how we can reduce these crazy numbers.

Homelessness
 

122,494 people were estimated to be experiencing homelessness at the time of the 2021 Census, an increase of 6,067 people (5.2%) since 2016.

Our charity partner
CareNet

CareNet are food relief specialists, located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. CareNet provides innovative food relief programs to community members experiencing hardship. They rescue over 1000kgs of food per week and support 12 other local organisations to deliver food relief programs every week. 

​

When you engage The Social Education Group you can be assured that you are directly benefiting a front line, grassroots charity who are serving the most vulnerable in our community. 

​

Through CareNet groups are have the opportunity to volunteer a few hours of their time to help pack hampers, sort food, stock shelves and get a full sense of what community food relief and food rescue looks like.
